Handoff Quality Scoring

3 min read

Not all handoffs are equal. A handoff quality score measures how complete and useful the transfer was. The score has five components: document completeness (all twelve sections populated), timeliness (handoff within 48 hours of contract signing), expectation alignment meeting held, stakeholder intelligence accuracy (verified by success team), and promise log completeness. Each component is scored 0-20. A perfect handoff scores 100. The average across most organizations is 45. The correlation between handoff quality score and first-year renewal rate is 0.62. That correlation alone justifies investing in the handoff process.
