The 10-Minute Research Sprint

3 min read

Ten minutes. That is all it takes to walk into a conversation better prepared than 90% of the reps your prospect will hear from this week. Not thirty minutes. Not an hour. Ten minutes, structured and AI-assisted, following a repeatable framework every time.

  1. Minutes 1-3: The Company Ask AI: "Give me a 200-word briefing on [Company]. Include what they do, how they make money, their market position, and any recent news from the last 90 days." This gives you the foundation. You should be able to explain what the company does in one sentence before you make contact.
  2. Minutes 4-6: The Person Check their LinkedIn profile. How long have they been in the role? Where did they come from? What have they posted or commented on recently? Ask AI to summarize their likely priorities based on their title and company context. A VP of Sales at a Series B startup has different pain than a VP of Sales at a Fortune 500.
  3. Minutes 7-8: The Industry Ask AI: "What are the top three challenges facing [industry] right now?" Cross-reference with what you know about the company. Industry trends create pain. Pain creates opportunities. Connect the dots.
  4. Minutes 9-10: The Trigger Look for a trigger event — a reason this prospect might need your help right now. New funding, leadership changes, product launches, hiring sprees, competitor moves. Trigger events turn cold outreach into timely outreach.
