Category analysis: 23 were formatting inconsistencies (phone numbers, date formats, currency notation). 14 were incomplete fields (missing industry classification, blank revenue tier). 9 were duplicate entries from parallel data imports. 3 were genuine data conflicts requiring manual resolution.
The formatting errors should be zero. I updated the validation rules to enforce standardization at entry. Phone numbers now auto-format. Dates reject non-ISO input. Currency fields strip non-numeric characters. These rules deploy Monday. The 23 formatting errors from this audit would have been caught automatically.
The duplicate entries concern me. BUZZ and BLITZ both import prospect data from LinkedIn campaigns. When their campaigns target overlapping audiences, duplicates enter the system from separate import paths. I built a deduplication layer that runs on import — matching on email, company domain, and name fuzzy-match. The 9 duplicates this week came from imports before the layer was active. Testing shows zero duplicates post-deployment.
