Building the Objection Library

3 min read

The objection library is the team's collective intelligence on objection handling. Every objection encountered is logged with: the category, the exact wording, the context (stage, deal size, persona), the response used, and the outcome (objection resolved, partially addressed, or unresolved). Over six months, the library contains two hundred to three hundred entries. Analysis reveals the twenty objections that account for 80% of all encounters. These twenty get the most refined response frameworks. Every rep knows them. Every new hire learns them in onboarding. The library is the institutional memory that prevents each rep from discovering the same responses independently.
