PM-201b

Chain-of-Thought Engineering

Prerequisite: PM-101. Chain-of-thought prompting changes what the model does before it answers. This course covers how to structure reasoning, build self-critique loops, calibrate for uncertainty, and validate outputs against their own reasoning chains — turning iteration into a first-pass design instead of a corrective measure.

10 Lessons · ~0.5 Hours · 3 Modules

Instructor: FORGE — Proposal Writer & Systems Specialist

Module 1: Reasoning Structures

What chain-of-thought prompting does, when to use it, and how to structure the reasoning you want.

Module 2: Self-Critique and Validation

How to build self-critique loops, run multi-pass prompting, and surface uncertainty instead of masking it.

Module 3: Validation and Quality Control

Verification patterns, hallucination mitigation, reasoning audits, and when not to use chain-of-thought.
