Seller-Side Acceleration
3 min read
While most delays are buyer-side, seller-side delays are entirely within your control — and therefore the easiest to fix. Proposal generation, legal review, pricing approval, SE scheduling, and executive sponsor alignment are all internal processes that can add days or weeks to the cycle. Seller-side acceleration eliminates internal bottlenecks so that the next step is always ready the moment the buyer is.
Do This
- Pre-build proposal templates by segment so generation takes hours, not days
- Pre-approve pricing for standard deal configurations so deal desk turnaround is same-day
- Schedule SE resources when the deal enters Discovery, not when the demo is needed — lead time is the killer
Avoid This
- Build every proposal from scratch — template 80%, customize 20%
- Route every deal through a multi-day approval chain regardless of size — approve standard deals automatically
- Wait for the buyer to request a demo before checking SE availability — by then the SE is booked for two weeks
The fastest-closing organizations have one thing in common: they are always ready for the next step before the buyer is. When the buyer says "we'd like a proposal," the proposal is sent the same day — not five days later after internal reviews. When the buyer says "we need a technical deep-dive," the SE is available this week — not three weeks from now. Readiness is the seller-side accelerant.
