Regulatory Briefing Products

3 min read

Three standard regulatory intelligence products cover the operational needs of most organizations. The regulatory pulse is a monthly summary of all regulatory activity in tracked jurisdictions — new bills, amendments, comment periods, enforcement actions. The impact alert is an event-triggered brief when a regulatory development requires organizational response within 30 days. The compliance horizon report is a quarterly assessment of upcoming regulatory deadlines, their requirements, and the organization's readiness against each one.

  1. Monthly Regulatory Pulse One page summarizing all regulatory activity in your tracked jurisdictions. Organized by jurisdiction, then by lifecycle stage. Highlight items that have moved to a new stage since last month. Include a "new on the radar" section for bills or proposals that appeared this month. The pulse is the baseline awareness product — it ensures nothing falls through the cracks.
  2. Impact Alert (Event-Triggered) Triggered when a regulatory event requires organizational response — a comment period opening, a compliance deadline approaching, or an enforcement action in your sector. Format: what happened, who it affects, what must be done, by when, and who owns the response. Narrow distribution: legal, compliance, and affected business units only.
  3. Quarterly Compliance Horizon Report A forward-looking assessment covering the next 12 months of regulatory deadlines. For each deadline: the requirement, the organization's current readiness (RED/YELLOW/GREEN), the gap, and the remediation plan. This report drives compliance budget allocation and resource planning. Present it to the executive team as part of the quarterly business review.
