Measuring Decision Engine Value

3 min read

The decision engine's value is measured in three dimensions. Decision speed: how much faster are decisions made with the engine versus without? For customer success interventions, the engine reduces detection-to-action from days to hours. Decision quality: do recommendations produce better outcomes than unassisted decisions? Compare the outcomes of engine-recommended actions against a control group of unassisted decisions. Decision consistency: do similar situations produce similar responses across the team? Without the engine, the best rep and the worst rep handle at-risk accounts differently. With the engine, both receive the same recommendation, reducing variance in outcomes. Speed × quality × consistency = the engine's total value. Measure all three. Report all three. The CFO cares about quality (revenue impact). The VP cares about speed (operational efficiency). The team lead cares about consistency (performance management).
