Context-Aware Alerting

3 min read

An alert that says "revenue anomaly detected" creates alarm. An alert that says "revenue dropped 18% below the 4-week baseline, driven by a 32% decline in the enterprise segment, coinciding with 3 large deals slipping from this week to next" creates understanding. The context transforms the alert from a signal of alarm into a briefing for action. Context-aware alerting enriches every alert with: the magnitude of the anomaly, the decomposition (which sub-segments or dimensions drove it), correlated changes in related metrics, and suggested investigation steps. The enrichment is automated — the system decomposes the anomaly and assembles the context within seconds of detection.
