From Hook to Content Arc
3 min read
The hook opens a loop. The content must close it. A hook that promises "the one pattern that predicted replies 3x better" must deliver that pattern — clearly, specifically, and without burying it in filler. The content arc after the hook follows a simple structure: deliver on the hook promise within the first 20% of the content. Expand with supporting evidence in the next 40%. Provide actionable next steps in the next 30%. Close with a CTA in the final 10%. The reader who stopped scrolling for the hook stays for the delivery. If the delivery is delayed or diluted, they leave — and they remember that your hooks over-promise. The hook-to-content contract is sacred. Break it once and the audience adjusts their expectations permanently.
