SEO Content KPIs
3 min read
SEO content has three KPI tiers. Tier one: traffic metrics — organic sessions, keyword rankings, click-through rate from search results. These measure visibility. Tier two: engagement metrics — time on page, scroll depth, pages per session. These measure quality. Tier three: business metrics — leads generated, pipeline influenced, revenue attributed. These measure impact. Most organizations report tier one and ignore tiers two and three. An article that ranks first and drives ten thousand visits per month but generates zero pipeline is a vanity asset. An article that ranks fifth and drives one thousand visits but generates fifteen qualified leads per month is a revenue asset. Tier three is the only tier that justifies the investment.
