Multi-Profile Presentations
3 min read
The hardest presentation challenge is a room with multiple behavioral profiles — and every committee meeting is exactly this situation. The high-D wants you to cut to the recommendation. The high-C wants you to explain the methodology. The high-I wants to hear success stories. The high-S wants to understand the transition plan. You cannot satisfy all four simultaneously — but you can structure the presentation to serve each in sequence.
The multi-profile structure moves through four acts. Act one (for the D): "Here is the opportunity and our recommendation." Sixty seconds. The high-D now has the conclusion and can evaluate the rest of the presentation as supporting evidence rather than waiting impatiently for the point. Act two (for the I): "Here is who has done this successfully and what they experienced." Two to three minutes. The high-I now has the social proof and the narrative. Act three (for the C): "Here is the methodology and the evidence behind the recommendation." Three to four minutes. The high-C now has the analytical foundation. Act four (for the S): "Here is the implementation plan and how we minimize disruption." Two to three minutes. The high-S now has the change management assurance. Each act serves its primary audience while building the overall case for everyone.
